Bug #319: Every action I do in Longchamp circle leads to error page...
Every play I do in Longchamp circle leads to error page. I have to do the same action again so that it confirms it has been done.
Bug #318: Bug when clicking on history on Merci currency in Longchamp circle
When I click on 'history' on Merci currency on Longchamp circle, I get an error message: http://dev.flowplace.org/currency_accounts/961/history/acknowledge
Bug #317: Access Level
Hi Eric,
Thanks for granting me access to redmine.
Is it possible to be upgraded to a developer role as I am unable to add wiki pages or files at the 'reporter' level.
Thanks,
Julian.
Action #312: Open participation / communication process
Spoke with Sybille, Fred, Marc and have great feedback about possible content for this first newsletter. Sybille is actively contributing. I want to send it before going to NY next week.
Action #312: Open participation / communication process
FP newsletter for seed.flowplace users
I am looking at two parts:- News (to inform)
- Things you can do (to include)
- Create your gravatar
- Participate in conversations in FP early users ning forum (In the forum people will find topics like: how to create and spread your intentions, proposals, feedback about profiler tool)
- Follow @flowplace account
and more...
Questions that have arised:
What do you guys think about encouraging conversations in the ning? what topics wld be of value for the FP design?
When will the supercircle, subcircle structure be complete? Shld we wait for this to be complete to ask for people to be more in ACTION?
JF and I think we need to post our TT intentions outside FP To create synchronicities. Question: If a person, whom is not part of seed, makes a proposal and is qualified to be accountable for the intention, will this person be invited to seed?
Would it be good to invite to seed those people that have participated in TT seminars? Maybe not all of them but the 34 of them who are part of the group called 'flowplace early users'. I know it is. Question is when and how. In answering the how it might be important to have an event to explain latest changes.
Usability #316: clicking on a member lets you see "intentions, actions, etc.."
When you click on a member in the demo, you are taken to a profile still set up with the wealing cycle. Must be pared down. http://demo.metacurrency.org/?user_id=8

Feature #311: Profile builder in flowplace
Had this conversation with Eric. Here are the notes:
We need to develop requirements for the profiler as player classes and plays. Write some sentences to stretch the practice of thinking in currency terms and develop a profile tool within this frame of mind.
Start by researching social networking tools, how they create profiles, what is that we need in flowplace that empowers people to enter into a wealing process together. From finding each other into concrete action.
EXAMPLES:
- I describe myself with <Attribute_Type>
add <Resource> as <Attribute_Type> called <Resource_Name>
Declare personality <Personality_Name>
Use <Resource_Name> in <Personality_Name>
Reveal <Personality_Name> to <Cricle>
Action #312: Open participation / communication process
We need to open participation. This builds on transparency by creating a feedback loop: people observe activity in our project, react to it, and then actually change its course.
Thinking about a small process to keep the momentum with those already in seed.flowplace and a larger process for people feel part of the development of the project. The change might be a small one, like helping to improve our work in progress, or a large one, like helping to redefine our project goals.
This type of involvement promotes a sense of shared ownership for everyone involved in the project, not just its founders. It becomes “ours” rather than “yours”. Question for us: Are we ready to loose full control?
A fully participatory project will support open participation in even the highest levels of decision-making. The community becomes central, rather than auxiliary, and the success of the project will depend on it.
SMALL PROCESS
- News about flowplace status
- Awareness of the flowplace account
- Forum inside TT as a feedback loop
LARGER PROCESS
What can be a shared accountability? what can´t?
OPEN
Do we have open read/write access to the source control repository?
Are we ready in document design? Could we accept bug reports?
Get in touch with #265: Sybille about her intention on the CRM Project manager intention
We had a wonderful meeting where I could share with Sybille where the new TT structure is going. We also shared about flowplace. We will meet next week to continue the conversation on intentions-actions around TT.
Feature #311: Profile builder in flowplace
As we are going to be part of many circles, users should be able to build multiple profiles and reuse the parts of profiles they have already have in their bank, or build new ones when necessary. A profile can be seen like a puzzle with pieces you can assemble in whatever order we need. User should be able to create as many profiles as he/she wants by recombining any of these pieces together, and by adding new ones.
PIECES OF PROFILE - VERSION 1
- Images: they can be gravatar (email), url, file upload (see http://projects.thetransitioner.org/issues/show/160)
- Label+Text: each text must be associated with a label. Label can be used as a question. For instance, label = "What are your hobbies?", then the text is the answer attached to it.
PIECES OF PROFILE - VERSION 2
In a more elaborated version, we want to distinguish different categories of items, such as:
- Title: for making big text and titles
- Text box: 1 line text
- Text area: 3-4 lines text box
- Radio button: 1 possible choice among a list
- Check box: multiple choices
- Image (link, gravatar, upload)
Text should be rich text.
Each item comes with its label.
In even more elaborated versions, user should be able to attach any file to the profile: sounds, movies, documents...
An example of a good interface is http://jotform.com/. It allows to build forms in a similar way we want to build. Both interfaces shouldn't be very different. Game interfaces like spores is another example.
GENERAL INTERFACE
The interface provides 2 different spaces:
1. The profile building space: where the user can list, create, edit, erase profile items
2. The profiles themselves
Profile list
In the early versions, the profile building space and item bank should be the same. We see a list of profile items:
- Column 1 -- item category: 'image' or 'text'
- Column 2 -- item label: text
- Column 3 -- item content: text or image thumbnail
- Profile names in which this item is used (optional)
- 'Edit' button or link
- 'Remove' button or link
Items can be displayed alphabetically (or reverse) in any column we click on.
A the top and/or bottom of the items list, there is an 'add item' button.
Ideally a search text box should allow to do a text search to select items more easily.
Building a profile
Button (or tab) 'Create a new profile' leads to the item list page as described above, and opens another column (or box) or the right in order to add/remove new items for this new profile.
On early versions, this can be done with checkboxes to check/uncheck, and add/remove buttons, in order to move items from the bank column to the profile one. On further versions we want easy selection and drag&drop.
Each profile is given a name. In the flowplace, it can be either a free text name, or the selection of one of the flowplace circles in a listbox.
If the profile is just given a text name, then it is just saved in the profile bank. It can be used for later, or even may be used for other applications.
If the profile name is given a flowplace circle name, then this profile will be automatically used in that circle.
Seeing profile list
A tab button 'Profiles' allows the user to get to the page where he will see the list of profiles. This list should appear with the following columns:
- Profile name
- Item labels that are in the profile
- A short piece of the text attached to the label, or a thumbnail of image
Profiles linked to a circle and free profiles should be easy to distinguish. Maybe they should appear as 2 separate lists.
LINKING PROFILES TO CIRCLES
When a profile has the name of a circle, then it is attached to this circle. We we click on the user name of this user in this circle, then the profile appears only with the selected items, in the right order.
In order to accept new members, names/matrices of circle will build questionnaires for people to build profiles. Examples:
- Your country of origin
- Your Twitter account
- Describe your practice in the green industry
- What's your motorbike model?
- Your logo?
- Your email?
- etc
Each time one of these question is asked and the user answers them, then this creates a new item in his profile bank.
In many cases some questions will just have to link to an item that's already in the bank. Examples:
- Your twitter account
- Tell us more about yourself
- Your professional skills
- Your address
- etc
Then the user just has to link this item to the question that is asked.
Often questions are just nearly the same, although not exactly the same. User should be able to duplicate and item in the profile, so that most of the content of this item can be reused, and only small portions needs to be changed. This is useful when bios or professional skills are asked in a circle.
Action #310: WEs Mexico accounting
Spreadsheet with people that owe WEs to be able to call for a circle meeting.
Bug #309: Cannot Create Issued Currency
Bug happens when TESTalan tries to create an issued currency. http://demo.metacurrency.org/currencies/new
Feature #305: User profiles should be personalizable
Dear Alan: We are working on a feature for highly personalized profiles. It has no name now. Its going to work like a gravatar for profiles. You will be able to select different aspects of your profileS (for example picture A versus B, your pro profile versus your hobbies) so its relevant to a given circle.

Feature #200 (Fixed): Spoken and chosen language in profile
I've now added a configuration for the default language for the whole flowplace, plus a per/user language choice in the preferences. This is in preparation for localization at the Flowplace level, not at the Profile level, where Language choice would be just one of the attributes you might describe yourself as.
My thought is that an item to do soon is what you talked about before where we could annotate with instructions any of the pages in the site, and that that REALLY needs to be multi-lingual, even if the tabs and other things aren't. I've been thinking about a way to implement that, that would be fairly easy...
So we should probably split this ticket up, one about profile, and the others about localization tasks and that annotation thing. Did you have a ticket about that allready?
Usability #307 (Fixed): big red button
This is now working. I'm not, however, going to implement the membrane thingy for the demo. I think it's really important to limit this demo to really being a demo and treating it like a mockup with very clear purposes. If you start wanting to use it for real with the full features of membrane currencies and stuff, then you gotta jump to the next level.
